The idea

The world is full of people waiting to meet.

Trendies Global was founded by Tende Amery, a filmmaker, traveller and storyteller. After spending a year travelling to a new continent almost every four weeks, he discovered that the desire for community travels with us. The response to one honest video made the feeling impossible to ignore: people everywhere are longing for richer lives, deeper friendships and somewhere to belong.

From everywhere, for everyone. What began as Tende and a friend wanting to widen their own circle is becoming an invitation to build a more connected life—across genders, cultures and countries.

The early community

Where the energy is gathering.

Live city-level signals from the interest list—never private names or emails.

Designed for real chemistry

Not random rooms. Thoughtfully shaped circles.

As Trendies develops, an optional matching layer could help curate smaller groups around compatible energy, shared interests and the environments where people feel most at ease—without turning friendship into a dating-style swipe or reducing anyone to a personality label.

Optional by design. Human-led. Never a dating feature.
01Social rhythm

Shy extrovert, quiet observer, natural organiser or ready-to-arrive-alone energy.

02Shared curiosity

Culture, sport, food, travel, film, conversation, exploring and the ideas people want to try.

03Comfort and format

Ideal group size, public settings, accessibility and what makes a first meeting feel easy.

A letter from the founder

Dear Trendies,

On the people we are hoping to find—and the life we hope to build together.

You may wonder what a “Trendie” even is. It is a word I use for people who share the same energy for life: romanticisers, dreamers, main-character people, and those who do not just follow trends, but live with curiosity, hope and intention.

I started Trendies because I know what it feels like to have so many dreams and so much energy, but still struggle to find people around me who align with that—people who see the bigger picture too.

Trendies Global is a coming-of-age project for people who want to build real human connection. It is for anyone who wants their coming of age, but does not want to do it alone.

The aim is simple: meet in safe, enjoyable, public environments, expand our circles, make new friends, and help shape a new era of human connection together.

Everything is voluntary, and everyone should use their own judgement. Come with care, respect, and the desire to make this chapter feel real.

Love, Tende.
Stay trendy.

Travel, food, music, cameras, sport and lifestyle partners can contribute useful products or experiences—not intrusive advertising.

04City expansion

Partners can help fund responsible pilots, host training, safeguarding and documentation in new places.

05Editorial collaboration

Photography, film, publishing and cultural programming can capture the people and places shaping this generation.
